The 3rd Dimension + Horrible Alien Brain Monsters From Outer Space Who Like Invading Planets = PURE AWESOMENESS!!!

So Fox's 3D movie is done and done. He put together a wicked soundtrack consisting of some royalty free tracks and a score put together by Tim Gormley (who also starred in the movie). I have to say... what a fun little movie. Fox and I were talking the other day about people's reactions to the previous The Monkey Rodeo Project shorts. Some were good, some were bad and some were... wait for it... "I don't get it". I hate to use the word homage (because I usually end up making myself sound stupid whenever I do) but quite of few people don't understand that the films for The Monkey Rodeo Project are just that. With Bimbo Zombie Killers, a few people had seriously posted some negative criticism on how bad the acting was and how the effects were too cheesy, that Hollywood does it way better. So folks, that's some pretty awesome constructive criticism for movies that were made with money from the director/writer/editor/producer's pocket and were meant to be cheesy-over-the-top-homage-flicks... right. Rambling aside, Fox and I were wondering if people would actually "get" the 3D flick instead of picking it apart. We both came to the conclusion that if people don't "get" (I love putting that in quotes :P) "The Invasion of the Horrible Alien Brain Monsters from Outer Space"... that they just have no movie sense at all. But I'm sure that most people will understand and enjoy the movie like I did. That's it for me for now folks... later!

HOLY SHIT! AN UPDATE!!!!

Like the title says, it's an update! It's been a good long while since I posted on this blog and it's almost spring of 2010 so I'll do my best to bring you up to speed!

Cronus has kind of come to a stand still. Not everyone has recorded their dialog but that's for the better I suppose since Fox thinks we'll have to re-record. It was only Natasha and I that recorded lines so it's not like we have to scrap a lot of recordings. Also, the soundtrack or score hasn't been decided on yet so I think Fox has decided that Cronus will have to sit on the back burner for a while. The trailer can be seen here.

Bimbo Zombie Killers is done and it kicks ass... that's all I have to say about that. If you're on Facebook you can find it here.

Fox's 3D flick "The Invasion of the Horrible Alien Brain Monsters From Outer Space: In 3D" has been shot and edited. Dialog has been recorded and Fox is waiting on the soundtrack. I'm going to be honest with you folks... it was awesome! Look for me playing the boyfriend and an alien brain monster! The trailer can be seen here.

Next up will be the Slasher Flick. Fox has the story pretty well sussed out and we'll be shooting at an actual campground in mid to late May. I'm going to be playing the slasher and that's all I'm going to give away... this is going to be awesome!

Other projects to follow in the Monkey Rodeo saga will be Karl, All About Monsters, Grayson & Gortch, The Untitled Musical and The Brotherhood. Anyway, that's it for the update. I hope that your life in the year 2010 has been swell so far and I'll be talking to you folks soon... enjoy the rest of the 2010 Olympics (if that's your kinda thing)! Later!
