One down, three to go...

The first shoot for Cronos went by surprisingly fast yesterday. Other than a few of us mucking up our lines (myself, guilty as charged) and Keir being a no-show, the shoot was awesome. Everyone had no problem getting into character and following direction. I'd have to say that for me, the best part of the shot was being able to work with some new faces. Natasha, Adrian, John and Pete hit their marks and I certainly hope to work with them again after this project. Anyway, there are three more shoots left. I hope that they go as well as the first.

Fox did a wicked job with the prosthetics. If you follow his blog, you'd know that he has been making his own prosthetics and this is the first film that they have been used in. The best part about these prosthetics is that they are custom made for all of the actors involved. We (the actors) have all went through the process of having alginate poured on our faces to make molds for sculpting a mold and Fox sculpts, bakes and paints the actual prosthetic. It's an interesting process... you should definitely go to his blog to check it out. He is definitely becoming more and more proficient at it and I can't wait to see what his future prosthetics look like. He also did a good job at directing us. I'm looking forward to see what's in store for us on Wednesday's shoot.

In other news, Dragonball Evolution didn't suck. It didn't rock (like I was hoping it would) but it didn't suck... that's all that matters. Will a sequel happen? More than likely not, but it was nice to see at least one live action DB film. So other movies that I'm psyched about for the most awesomest month of the year would be Wolverine, Star Trek, Terminator: Salvation and Up. The summer looks a little bleek for movies. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is scaring the ever loving crap outta me (because it's so up in the air on whether or not it will be good), Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince should be good (Ralph Fiennes is always golden in anything he does... even Strange Days), Halloween 2 is looking more and more like a bloated piece of crap with every viewing of it's painful trailer and G.I Joe... I can't really tell if it will kick ass or blow goats.

Well, that's enough rambling for now... I gotta go fight evil and get back to work. Later.

~D~
